( 01 — Overview )

Overview

Okearin Mart imports groceries from the US and UK and sells them wholesale in Lagos. Their business lives in a cloud ERP: customers, wholesalers, invoices, stock, currency rates. Vuee is an AI decision platform for Okearin Mart, an import-wholesale grocery distributor in Lagos.

The owner wanted one place to ask how the business is doing without exporting spreadsheets. The manager needed routine paperwork, like a transfer invoice between warehouses, drafted for her rather than typed from scratch.

( 02 — Problem )

Problem

A chat box on top of a database is easy to demo and risky to deploy. A model that misreads a currency rate or invents a stock count costs real money. An agent that can create invoices can create the wrong ones. The question was never whether a model could answer. It was what happens when it answers wrongly, and who catches it.

( 03 — Approach )

Approach

  • Actions wait for a person. Anything that would change data is drafted as a proposal. The manager approves, edits or rejects it, and only then does it run. Every action the system proposes, such as a transfer invoice between warehouses, waits for a manager's sign-off before it runs.
  • Answers come with charts: sales and profit by product, stock, invoices. Vuee works on the client's cloud ERP data (customer and wholesaler transactions), giving the owner one place to ask about stock, invoices, currency rates, and sales and profit by product.

( 04 — Open questions )

Open questions

  • How much autonomy is enough? At launch the answer is none without sign-off.
